Reckreator, formerly known as RedPanda, first truly discovered electronic music around the age of 17 whilst living in Hamburg, Germany. He began exploring clubs in the underground techno scene, and what he found changed his perspective on music completely.
This music became a passion.
Reckreator started his journey by mixing tracks from inspiring artists such as Stimming, Max Cooper, Boris Brejcha and Patrick Chardronnet. He started at home with some virtual DJ software and a modified USB keyboard as a controller, and began to experiment and learn about sound manipulation. Slowly noticing his ears changing focus, he often found himself analysing songs, trying to figure how people had achieved these incredible sounds and picking up on the different rhythmic patterns.
This process became an obsession.
He then approached producing original electronic music, starting with simple beats and melodies and constantly sculpting new sounds, drawing up new inspiration and ideas and fusing it all together. Reckreator has developed his production techniques over the years, with a strong focus on live improvised electronic music and a keen ear for new and interesting sounds.
He is also an active member of the maker community in Hamburg at HoFaLab e.V, currently working on the development of self-made hardware instruments in the Eurorack Modular Format and studying Audio Engineering at the SAE Institute, Hamburg.
His Music was recently (2021) discovered by a Dub Techno Label from Berlin, “Lucid Flow Records”, who are currently releasing his works.
